Howdy there!

*Think, think, think*

*Think, think, think*

I must be having a brain cramp or something.

It's been a good couple of days, and I've been busy and getting things done and that makes me happy... and I'll be damned if I can't come up with something worthwhile to blog about...

The weekend's coming, though. The Circus may go on the road for a bit this weekend. Other than that, we'll be just hanging around the house, I think.

What are you up to this weekend? Anything fun?

I'm stacking cordwood. Four cords stacked, five to go. Come over, bring the whole family. Child labour laws are lax here.

But then, on Sunday, it's Thanksgiving, and my daughter and her chef hubby are having us over for the turkey dinner. Yummm.

I'm bringing dessert. I'm open to suggestions.

Mmmm, desserts. "No Bake Pecan Pie" is my all-time fav Turkey Day dessert.

1 small package Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 cup sugar
1 small can, crushed pineapple, drained
1 pint whipping cream
1 can of chopped pecans
1 cooked pie shell or graham cracker crust

Mix cream cheese and sugar together, add pineapple and pecans. Separately whip whipping cream then blend together with previous ingredients.

Chill for one hour

It's about time you posted CK, I was about to send in the hounds. I don't have any hounds, so that makes it twice as bad.

The family and I are headed out to the beach. A 2 1/2 year old and 3 month old. Should be fun and rashy.

Nilbo - Woo, that cordwood stacking sure sounds like fun. I'm sorry we'll have to miss that. Dessert? Well, I don't think you have them up there, but Bakers Square down here has some awesome pies. We usually pick one or two up for our Thanksgiving dinners.

Mr. B - Call off the hounds. I'm here. :) Thanks for the recipe!

William - That sounds like fun!

oh...Mr B's recipe sounds GOOD and not too hard--even I could make that! Maybe I'll bring that to my parents this weekend....

Ahhh, just read your previous post again. Love that.

This weekend?
Thanksgiving here. No German school for my kids, no violin orchestra practice for my oldest, no church rehearsal for me and hubby as it has been moved to sunday morning.
Saturday will be something! Various family members are taking my kids to the fair. Hubby and I will have the DAY TO OURSELVES. I have a massage booked. We may go to a matinee. It will be AWESOME.

My girls and I are hitting the town for our "Save the Boobies" weekend! There will be drinking, there will be dancing and there will be debauchery!

Just a quiet weekend with Stumpy, the cat and the MOUNTAINOUS PILE OF LAUNDRY which she's dragged home with her.

Nilbo: nothing goes better with turkey than a nice Spotted Dick...

I'm laying a new floor in the upstairs bathroom. I've been doing this for so many months now that I'm certain it will never be finished. This is discouraging, but it is nonetheless my life for another weekend, in between volleyball tournaments, soccer games, football games and the ever-present need to make dinner. *sigh* Any chance you could send that handy Mr. Kelli over to fix this %#!*&@* floor? I'll send him back with a dinner for your family.

No biggies from this place. Heather, our daughter and her son are going to the Mile High Flea Market tomorrow. Too much distance and my pockets too broke to go along. Heather will use my walker and sit when she gets tired.

Sunday church and relaxing a bit.

Smart assery through all.

I'm beginning to feel that group laziness will be on the menu here this weekend!
