Yesterday, we drove to Dubuque, IA -- about 3 or so hours. We visited with friends, then stopped in Galena, IL to visit with more friends, and got home around 9:30pm.

This morning I woke up with a headache and a nasty, nasty cold.

Right now, I feel like crap and not very optimistic about how this day is going to go. There is a BUNCH of stuff that needs to be done this morning, and I'm hoping I can rest this afternoon.

I'll be back later.

In the meantime, go read Susie (link in the side bar). I haven't been over there this morning, but she always has something inspiring to say.

I think when you're sick "BUNCH of stuff" can be said a little less politely.

Did you tell them they put the Duh! in Dubuque?

Sorry you're feeling so punk. Send everybody away, get the house quiet and still, and lie down. Give it thirty seconds and you already start to feel better. :)

Mama's chicken soup is one thing you need Sis . . . . plus her hand on your fevered brow while with the other hand she amuses the littles.

Mr. B - It could be, but I didn't have the energy for it. Our friends are about 20 miles outside of Dubuque -- in Balltown, IA.

Nilbo - Heh, if it were only that easy.

Doug - Oh man, Doug, if you could get that for me, I'd be forever grateful. :)

Low energy ain't no fun. :(

Sis, I'll see if Heather can do some of that from a distance.

You send people to my place without even knowing what's there? What if I posted a bunch of crap today? What if I went nuts and posted . . . something nutty? Your faith in me is touching. And it makes me laugh, given that I just came from someone's blog where I happened upon a rather lengthy post about what a bunch of crap one of my Sunday quotes was.
Takes all kinds :)
I hope you're feeling better this afternoon, CK.

I hope you're feeling better now and that you got your stuff done. Susie's place was inspiring as always. x

What you need is a donut. None of that fancy stuff, but a glazed donut fresh from the assembly line and lovingly constructed by the good folks at Krispy Kreme.

If you find a chicken nuggent under the seat along the way, it wasn't me. My money is on that giant strolling bee, because it would be immoral for the big ass yellow chicken to do it.

And this sickness crap? It's not good for anyone, so cut it out.

(get well soon)

Mr. B - No sir, it ain't.

Doug - Hee! I'd be amazed if she could.

Susie - LOL - Anything you posted woulda been better than listening to me whine. :)

Platypus - I am feeling better, thank you.

Bone - Oh wow, I would LOVE a Krispy Kreme or two... you know, for medicinal purposes. I laughed at "cut it out." I'm working on it.

Bleh! Sorry you feel lousy. Get some rest tonight and maybe tomorrow you'll feel better, eh? I'll be sending sandman thoughts to you!
