Just Another Sunday at the Big Top

Early this morning, Batgirl stole the Princess's crown after she locked her in her BatCave Dungeon. The Princess cried and cried until the Fireman used his axe to break her free. After that, the Fireman chased Batgirl to her lab. Working together, The Princess and the Fireman used smoke* to thwart Batgirl's efforts, forcing her back to her BatCave temporarily. Luckily, Batgirl remembered her super Bat Mask was equipped with special powers that enabled her to see through the smoke. Forcefields and Batgirl's spiked gloves were also used in the timeless battle of good versus evil. During a break in the action, before quenching her thirst with some special evil water**, Batgirl was heard uttering "Such fools!" as the Princess and the Fireman plotted their next move. Soon after that, the Fireman came into the kitchen to get his own special Fireman water, in a red cup, of course.

* The Fireman's special fire extinguisher allows him to shoot either bullets, or water or smoke from it.

** The evil water turned Batgirl's eyes red as soon as she swallowed it. That's what made it evil water.

*** In an unprecidented move, Halloween costumes have been purchased *before* October 28 this year. That means, of course, that the clowns will want to be something else entirely by the time Halloween actually arrives.

Ooooh what fun Sis. Reminds me of when our kids were little and did that kind of thing.

My grandson in Oregon has always loved to play in costume and is in plays in school, his actions fit the costumes.

My weekends are so boring. I miss the days when I had superhero(ine)s crawling all over the place.

And you can be honest - the evil water was some of Mommy's Mai Tai mix, wasn't it? That's how you keep the kids quiet ...

HA! Carter has that exact same fireman suit -- we just got it at Costco last week!!! And already, he's now talking about being a gorilla. *sheesh*

Brudder - Of course. I swear, as soon as Sweet Pea put her BatGirl costume on, she WAS Batgirl.

Nilbo - Noooo, don't be silly. I don't share.

Eclectic - Here's my plan, TAKE AWAY the costumes until Halloween now. They've played in them, they've had all sorts of fun with them, now, if I say they can't have them until the big day, maybe they won't change their minds...

What? Stop laughing... it could work...

It must feel good to have Superheroes living right there on the premises. I love your assessment of how they'll need new costumes by Halloween. I wasn't sure LG would want to dress up, now that she's OLD, but she does. Last year, she had a wonderful leopard costume, and she was SICK, so she didn't get to wear it to school, and not many people saw it (except bloggers) so wouldn't you think she could wear that again? Huh? Huh? Wouldn't you? No. She can't.

If only you were a children's illustrator... you'd have a book on your hands!

I'm thinking the production needs some strobe lights.

Maybe a fog machine.

I hope there is a sequel.

Wonderful! What’s happening in the other two circus rings?

You will update us on the final Halloween costumes when the mini-heroes get tired of these, won’t you?
