Can I have one?

When I'm at my lowest
Cranky, irritable
All around disagreeable
No zest for doing anything
Except sitting and scowling at the television

Today I saw
Off in small workspace
Two coworkers
Sharing a hug of comfort
And my first thought was
Can I have one?
And I realized
I'm still not good at asking
For what I need

Just sit with me
In quiet companionship
Comfy and warm
Secure and loved
Waiting with me
Until the storm passes

Dear sweet sister, sit beside me as I learn to ask for the help I new - - - as I adjust to new ways.

This evening I slept a sleep of relaxation and ride the surf of ease on into the night.

And so, day by day and night by night learn how to get what I need with out the deadly addctive habit that can be had all to easily.
